OUR OPERATIONAL PURPOSE AS A BIBLE UNIVERSITY
IT IS A BIBLE SCHOOL: The school will keep the Bible at the center of curriculum and as the central textbook. It will defend and promote Bible
doctrines and strive to promote godliness and high level of pastoral professionalism. It will use Bible, the Book of books to help individuals
realize the purpose of their existence (maximize their potentials), promoting \self-management and inter-personal relationships, developing the total
man.
IT IS A NON-PROFIT MISSION SCHOOL: The school shall welcome assistance and financial support from individuals, churches and Christian organizations. As God provides, the school offers scholarship to qualified and willing students, who are ready to submit to the Lordship of Christ.
For the purpose of evangelism, praying for the sick, counseling and leading the lost to salvation, the school joins hands with other missionary schools around the world to train and send missionaries out ; expanding God’s kingdom, manifesting His power and glory in Europe and around the world, bringing glory to His Name.
PURPOSE: The overall purpose of the school is to make ambassadors for Christ .This can be further broken down as follows:
1. To equip students with sound Biblical and theological knowledge , in order to fulfill their purpose of existence and divine assignments. This is done through training in missions, marriage and family, Christian education, Bible theology and, computer.
2. To enable students understand the Biblical basis of a Christian worldview , and to translate this worldview into a systematic framework for education.
3. To strengthen students’ commitment to the Christian faith and better prepare them to exercise their God-given talents and abilities in full
range of life, calling and vocations.
4. To enable students understand the direction in which their society is headed so they can strive for the furtherance of the Lordship of Christ in a
life of service to God and their neighbors.
5. To take the students beyond the realm of “head knowledge” into experience as they participate in personal evangelism, praying for the sick,
counseling and leading the lost to salvation.
ACCREDITATION/AFFILIATIONS AND MEMBERSHIP
Great Achievers International Church & ministries and other Christian bodies sponsor AIUCTS/GAITBS . The school strives to encourage high academic standards by developing an internationally accepted curriculum. The school is positioned to work with the Accrediting Council for Theological Education in Africa (ACTEA), Pan-African Accrediting Association of Fundamental Institutions of Christian Colleges, Theological and Seminary (PANFICATS), Association of Christian Theologians (ACTS) and other Christian Universities and Seminaries within Africa and overseas.
SECULAR ACCREDITATION:
Americans and most African nations tend to exalt certificate and paper qualification more than skill and productivity in their secular principles of
education. If someone, for instance, has PhD in physics but cannot produce a dynamite , he is still, in the eyes of the people, an educated man . But if someone cures HIV without a paper qualification he might be threatened with arrest by the security forces.
The implication of this is that everyone is in mad quest to obtain a certificate of recognition either by crook or otherwise. This mentality plays in the psyche of theological school administrators as well. They seem to operate under some sort of psychological torment and inferiority complex. They are in mad quest for secular accreditation. They have totally failed to understand that the Lord’s goals and purposes are not the same with secular schools run by human governments.
Our Christian educators need to understand that government accredited courses do not necessarily generate high standard nor promote spiritual and ministerial growth. Philosophy of secular humanism does not agree and may never agree with important doctrines of the Church. While Theological Education, for instance, emphasizes creationism to explain the origin of all things, secular educations sponsored by most governments promote atheistic evolution.
We want to say it here loud and clear that secular accreditation generally hinders more than promote theological schools from accomplishing their divine purposes. It is important to understand that the secular accrediting agencies, as a matter of obvious policy, usually force their applicants to conform to predetermined academic conditions. These conditions are in most cases detrimental to the body of Christ.
That most of our Bible colleges and theological schools are not recognized or accredited by some worldly governments, therefore, is neither detrimental nor disadvantage to us in any way. For our ways are not their ways (Isaih55:8). Our objectives are so holy, noble and far separated from theirs.
Our academic and moral standards are far higher than theirs. You cannot for instance compare a degree holder in a standard Bible college with his counterparts at University of Nigeria, Nsukka. Theological studies are the center and circumference of all learning. The truly learned men are the theologians, not the arrogant men of the bar. The Church and her monks and clergy are the foundation of the so called Western Education. Thus true education is actually “Christian” (not “Western”).
So why should we look unto them for accreditation or recognition? Any body who wants to recognize us can do so for his best reason, interest and benefit. But if nobody does, then let every one pursue his agenda, stay in his house and administer it as he deems fit.
